BMW 1 Series Coupé


The 1 Series range consists of four bodywork, three-and five-door, coupe and cabriolet, which is given in this article.

The 1 Series Coupé is available with two diesel engines: 120 days (177 hp) and 123D (204 hp) and two petrol: 135i with 306 hp and 125I (218 hp). The latter option is new within the range.

Is for sale from € 30,900. Ie about 1,100 € more expensive than a 1 Series five-door with the same engine and similar equipment (prices of all the 1 Series Coupe).

The reasons for choosing this car, about a 1 Series body with three or five doors, have to do with the appearance of your body, or the possibility of mounting the gasoline engine of 305 hp, which is very good and that within the 1 Series, is available only with the body Coupé or cabriolet.

Another reason for choosing the Series1 Coupé is perhaps easier to drive in difficult conditions that a 1 Series body with three or five doors. In any case, the difference is very small and hardly noticeable.

In addition, the 1 Series Coupé retains the dynamic characteristics of any other Series 1, which is a suspension rather hard and a high stability, especially when asphalt is not damaged. Also noteworthy was the performance of their engines.

The interior of the Coupé is more spacious than others Series1. In fact, on a series 1 with a hatch on the roof of the Coupé's fall left few inches of headroom valuable that people will notice from 1.75 m, and is only approved for four seats.

The boot itself is bigger than any other Series1, but it is more difficult to get large objects because it has a hatch cover in place. Series, the support of the Coupé's rear seats are folding.

The Coupé weighs only 5 kg more than the three-door 1 Series to equal motor and equipment. The aerodynamic drag is almost the same in all three body (0.63 m).

The aspect of all versions are the same. The exception is the 135i, which has a range of kit 'M' which includes elements that change their external appearance and interior, wheels and adjusting the suspension (lowered and harder). This set of elements can be optionally mounted in the other versions of the range.
