Citroën C5

. TWho need a comfortable car, without first considering other variables, we do not need to disburse as they cost the best luxury saloons. The aspect that most distinguishes the C5 is the extraordinary ability of occupants to notice the passage of little kilometers. This feeling of isolation is given mainly by the suspension and also the low noise reaching the interior.

The comfort is achieved with the optional suspension (Hidractiva III +), even though they are cheaper alternatives, the result is very satisfactory. The driving position is better with the seats available versions from 'Premier', which inter alia have a foam that lead to different seats in the cheaper version.

The C5 range consists of nine engines, three gasoline and six diesel. The gasoline are: 125 hp 1.8i 16V, 2.0i 16V 140 hp and 211 hp 3.0 V6. The most powerful is only available with six-speed automatic transmission. Diesel engines are 109 hp 1.6 HDi, 2.0 HDi 136 hp (manual) and 140 hp (automatic), 2.2 HDi 170 hp 2.7 V6 HDi 204 hp and 241 hp 3.0 V6 HDi.

The diesel engine of 241 hp is the strongest ever assembled in the history of Citroën. Also available in the range C6. It is a V6 engine of 3 liters of displacement, the engine torque is 450 Nm at 1600 rpm. Is accompanied by an automatic gearbox six speeds. It has direct injection through common (common-rail) and a dual variable-geometry turbocharger (one for each three cylinders).

The C5 with this engine has different solutions to reduce consumption: using an alternator, recovering energy and deceleration phases of the address is variable displacement pump, which supplies just the necessary assistance. The C5 is available in three levels of equipment, 'Collection', 'Premier', 'S', 'Airdream "and" Exclusive ". Not all levels of equipment can be combined with all available engines.

A unique feature of the equipment of the C5 is that the majority of options are included in packages of equipment.
