Citroën C3 Pluriel

The Citroën C3 Pluriel is a cabriolet with a type of roof, detachable parts, which allows to configure different ways.

Its best feature is the price is cheaper than any other four-seat cabriolet already on the market: between 15,420 and 17,080 €. This price is lower than a Ford Streetka Peugeot 206 CC or similar power.

The roof consists of two longitudinal arches, a retractable canvas awning (with remote electric) and a crystal eyeglasses unlock. You can use the canvas awning open or closed, and the lunette placed or removed.

It is also possible to disassemble the two arches. They assembled, as is a convertible security without the arch, which is not above the waist line of nothing but the windshield. It has no door is closed behind the removable eyeglasses and a door that opens from the top down.

It is an original system, but much less convenient than a normal hood (like the Streetka) or a much less-rigid folding roof (like the 206 CC). The only thing you can do easily is folding roof (type'2 CV '). Completely remove the roof and the lunette, and save them in the trunk, it is more laborious. The lateral arches are removed, but can not be transported in the car if it rains, put a sleeve option (which prevents drive) or put the car indoors.

Except that the entire rear cargo area is (to fold the seats) and maybe the price, this system C3 Pluriel has no practical advantage over the 206 that carries a CC.

It has four seats and a size similar to those of a five-door C3 (the Pluriel has two side doors), but is slightly longer and higher. There are other differences with the five-door C3, the design of the headlights, the bonnet or the rear.

Initially, two versions of petrol engine: a 1.4 liter 73 hp and a 1.6 of 109 hp. The less powerful is a five-speed manual box, the most powerful gearbox takes the C3 Sensodrive.
