Citroën C3 Picasso

The Citroën C3 Picasso is a new model with van body, smaller than the C4 Picasso.

The range of engines consists of two petrol and two diesel, all of them already used in other models of Peugeot and Citroën. The petrol is a 1.4 VTi of 95 hp and a 1.6 VTi 120 hp and have direct injection. The diesel share the same block but with different 1.6 HDi power: 90 to 110 hp.

The C3 Picasso is a comfortable car that does not have a very hard suspension. This does not mean that the body movement is very broad and it is a clumsy car in areas of curves (more information at the point of Impressions of line). Its occupant is large and very functional.

There are three levels of equipment, called 'LX', 'SX' and 'Exclusive'. The less powerful version equipped (VTi LX 95) costs € 12,590. Of the carriers of its size and power, only the Nissan Note, with 88 hp engine, it costs less (list sorted by price).

The C3 Picasso measured 4.08 m long, 1.73 m wide and 1.62 m high. Ie has the same length as a Nissan Note, but is wider and higher, which should exert a larger carrier.

Among the cars in its class, the Opel Meriva is wider in the rear seat, but the Note, the Renault Grand Modus and Ford Fusion are narrower. In contrast, the C3 Picasso is the one that has less space for the legs, despite being one of the longest.

The rear bench can be moved lengthwise, 150 mm, which is used to configure the interior space as required. Thus, if you wanted to be the largest cargo capacity, enough to advance to the rear seats up for 500 liters of luggage compartment, instead of 385 l, a very large given the length of the car (video C3 Picasso ). Under these conditions, the rear seats are difficult to grasp, unless the occupants of the front seats are much closer to the dashboard.
