The Corvette ZR1 is a two-seater coupe that is on sale from € 149,900. It is the most powerful version of the Corvette range.
It has a 6.2 liter V8 engine 647 hp, supercharged by a compressor, air is not like the rest of the Corvette.
For their power is an alternative to models like the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Coupe (560 hp), the Bentley Continental GT (560 hp), the Bentley Continental GT Speed (611 hp), Mercedes-Benz CL 65 AMG (612 CV), the Ferrari 599 GTB F1 (620 hp) or the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Coupe (641 hp). It is almost € 41,000 more affordable than the Gallardo LP560-4, the second most economical model of them all. The Murciélago LP640, the most expensive of the Gasoline cupés between 550 and 700 hp, it costs more than double (comparative tab).
The ZR1 achieves a maximum speed of 330 km / h, the second highest after the Murcielago LP640 (340 km / h) and equal to the Ferrari 599 GTB F1. The Gallardo LP560-4 as the Bentley Continental GT and GT Speed up to 300 km / h. The CL 65 AMG has a top speed limited to 250 km / h.
The Corvette has CO2 emissions of 355 g / km, equivalent to a consumption of 14.8 l/100 km (although the latter is not confirmed by the mark).
Corvette ZR1. Model 2009.El Corvette ZR1 has traction to the rear wheels. Take a gearbox six-speed manual. All other versions of the Corvette (6.2 of 442 hp and 513 hp Z06) reach the maximum speed ratio in the sixth, while the ZR1 makes it the fifth motion (hence, the sixth of relief).
The structure of the chassis of the ZR1 is the same as the other Corvette models. The aluminum chassis is partially hidroconformado and subchasis front parts of magnesium.
However, there are differences in other elements: the suspension is set up differently and are ceramic brakes (with perforated discs of 394 mm in diameter on the front axle and 380 mm in rear). The fittings are painted blue.
The ZR1 takes series springs hardness variable magnetic fluid, called "Magnetic Selective Ride Control (more information). As in the rest of the Corvette, the suspension is parallelogram deformable in two axes, with a spring axle (which makes the functions of docks).
The adjustment and operation of ABS is specific to this release. Its electronic control takes into account data from the magnetic suspension. Among other things, the series takes ZR1 stability control and xenon headlights (sheet of equipment).
The front wheels are of the rear 285/30 ZR19 and 335/25 ZR20. Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport 2, developed specifically for this model. Are of type "Run Flat" (able to run without pressure and low speed for a certain amount of miles). The ZR1 does not carry a spare wheel.

The interior is unlike the rest of the range in some details looking like the logo 'ZR1' appears on the threshold of the door at the headrest and the instrumentation. The speedometer is set up to 220 miles per hour and an indicator of the supercharging pressure. This information also appears in the information projected on the windshield (Head Up Display).
