Chevrolet Matiz

Chevrolet Matiz updates with some design changes and enhancements. In addition, there will be a new version with four-speed automatic transmission. The new range will be available after the summer of 2007.

The Matiz is a small minivan 3.50 m long (Hue current information). It has five doors, five seats and a boot capacity of 170 liters capacity. The main competitors are KIA Picanto, the Hyundai Atos, Fiat Panda and Opel Agila (the latter considerably more expensive).

As the current Matiz, the new will be available with three trim levels and equipment, "S", "SE" and "SX".

It has some front and rear bumpers with a slightly different design, with larger inlets. The bottom of the bumpers and side skirts is not graffiti. The 2008 models also have new designs for the upholstery.

All series will have two airbags, antilock brakes (ABS), front electric windows, radio with CD and five seatbelts.

According bear air conditioning, fog lamps and rear electric windows, among other items of equipment. You may also have an auxiliary connection for external audio sources. You can not have stability control as an option either.

In the interior, the Matiz is characterized by a narrow car. There is little free space between the occupants of the front seats and knees, rub them with ease doors and console. It is not enough width for three people traveling in rear seats, the legroom is normal and the height is just for people rather high.

All interior plastics Matiz look easy and are hard to touch. The different parts are linked together well and seem well-cut (no sharp or rough edges to reveal a poorly finished plastic). The speedometer, the fuel level indicator and tachometer are located in the center of the dashboard, according to the color of the body the substance of these instruments can be blue, green or orange.

The Matiz range consists of two petrol engines: a three-cylinder with 796 cm ³ and 52 hp, or a four-cylinder, 995 cm ³ and 66 hp. Are the same engines from the previous Matiz. At least for now, is not provided you may have a diesel engine.

These engines are linked to a five-speed manual transmission. Since after the summer, the less powerful motor may optionally be associated to a four-speed automatic transmission.

These engines have a good response to the accelerator. Given its low power, in the current Matiz, do not reach a very large move with ease by city, or in terms of easy movement (especially with the 66 hp). Under these conditions of use are not particularly noisy engines. Road Matiz benefits are scarce and their stability is not good.
