The Chevrolet Spark is a small utility car with five doors. Will be sold in Europe in early 2010.
Replace the Chevrolet Matiz, which has been in the market since 1998 (although updated mechanical and appearance, in 2000, 2005 and 2007).
The body measures 3640 mm long. It is therefore somewhat shorter than a Suzuki Swift. Chevrolet has not given details of the height, but the images seem to have proportions minivan.
The trunk is 170 liters capacity, which is less than we have other cars of its size (comparative tab). The volume of post can be expanded to reduce the rear backrest, which are divided in the proportion 60:40. On the roof there are some bars for a baca. The rear doors have handles integrated into the studs.
There are details on the car painted the same color as the Bodywork. The dashboard is composed of a needle indicator showing the speed and screen with the counter, the computer and the fuel level in the reservoir.
In the console are the controls of the air conditioning and sound equipment (which can also be operated from inside the wheel).
Among the items of equipment are the possible electric windows (front only), height regulations in the driver's seat and tilt steering wheel, electric mirrors, heated front seats or the computer on the road. The stability control is an option. In the images is that one can have air conditioning.
The engines are a 1.0-liter 67 hp and a 1.2-liter 79 hp. Are atmospheric gas. Chevrolet expects to be approved consumption of 5.0 l/100 km. Both Iran coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The suspension is the usual characteristics of these cars: McPherson front axle with a torsional rear. The tires are 14 or 15 inches.
Chevrolet is also going to sell the Spark, as well as in Europe and other markets in the U.S.. According to Troy Clarke, president of GM North America, "The decision to incorporate a range reflects the Chevrolet Spark American brand leader in fuel efficiency in the automobile industry of the United States." The Chevrolet Matiz is not sold in this country.
