Chevrolet Aveo

The Aveo sedan is a 4.3 m long and four-door body. It has a gasoline engine of 94 HP, replaces the Kalos car with four doors. The Kalos three-or five-door selling is still unchanged.

The Aveo is interesting for those who seek a car with an economic and satisfactory quality of finish in relation to their price. It is not for anyone interested in with a good dynamic qualities.

Enough space for four occupants. The best figure of all is the height in the front seats, in the rest of the measurements is not particularly large.

It has a trunk of 400 liters (25 l of more than 4p Kalos), a normal volume for its size. SEAT Córdoba has a 485 l, a Hyundai Accent 375 l 4p a 4p KIA Rio 390l. This information is excluded the gap beneath the bottom to house the spare wheel.

The above prices are list price. Chevrolet still has not provided the discount when you will start to sell. Based on list price, the Aveo is not particularly cheap compared to other models if they have applied the discount, such as KIA Rio Hyundai Accent 4p or 4p (comparison table). Currently the range Lacetti and Nubira have a € 1,300 discount on list price.

With respect to a Kalos, interior and coatings are completely new (the radio is fully integrated into the console) and gives more feeling of quality.

All interior materials are tough, but they have a treatment that gives a matte and a welcome end to the touch. There are certain plastics (like the edge of the indicators of the instrumentation and some roulette sound system and ventilation) that have a chrome finish. Versions' LT 'plastic surfaces are painted in gray, mimicking the tone of certain metals.

Dynamically, the Aveo is not a very good car. 94 hp engine is not a smooth operation in all cases. Nor has such a great touch, as many modern cars.

The engine does not give much strength to power at any time and, while giving maximum power to a relatively high (6,200 rpm), gives the impression that it costs to turn quickly in these circumstances the engine is noisy and vibrates . This engine has variable intake.

The Aveo 1.4 has little capacity to respond in gear because the development of transmission are very long. With 185/55 R15 tires, the development is done to the car to reach top speed in fourth scheme and maximum power. The Aveo shares some elements of the structure with the Kalos (have the same wheelbase: 2480 mm). There are others who are new and has new material: the Aveo used in certain high-strength steel and the torsional rigidity of the structure is higher. The Aveo has a smaller body of the aerodynamic drag of the four-door Kalos.

It measures 4310 mm long, 1,710 mm wide and 1495 mm high. Is 75 mm longer, 40 mm wider than the version of the Kalos and replacing the 10 mm higher. It is also larger than a Dacia Logan (4,250 mm), the Hyundai Accent 4p (4,260 mm), the Skoda Fabia Sedan (4,222 mm) and the Seat Cordoba (4,280 mm).

Chevrolet currently does not provide a diesel engine for the Aveo. The first Chevrolet to take a diesel engine will be the Captiva, which is a 2.0 liter in two variants, 120 and 150 HP (mid 2006) and the Lacetti and the Nubira (autumn 2006).
