Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4

The Gallardo LP560-4 is on sale from € 190,895. It has a 560 hp engine, 30 hp more than the Gallardo Superleggera. Besides the engine, Lamborghini has also made changes to the suspension, transmission, AWD system and aerodynamic.

The Gallardo LP560-4 with automatic (with manual worsen and consumption benefits) coming from a standing reaches 100 km / h in 3.7 s and achieves a maximum speed of 325 km / h. The average consumption is 13.7 l/100 km approved. A Porsche 911 GT2, which is slightly less powerful (530 hp) and weighs a little more, is just as fast and spend less. A Corvette Z06 (513 hp) runs a little less and spend more.

The LP560-4 has a new 5.2 l engine positioned longitudinally in rear center position. It is a ten-cylinder "V" direct injection gives the maximum power at 8,000 rpm (more info on the engine). The fuel tank holds 90 liters of capacity.

It is available with six-speed manual gearbox or a robot: it has no clutch pedal and the inner box is like a manual, with pairs of gears, but with an automatic mechanism for selecting gears. This automatic change is called e-gear "and has cam behind the wheel to shift gears. With respect to that of other Lamborghini, has been revised to make it faster (up to 40%) and weighs less.

The automated gearbox has five operational programs: "Normal", "Sport", "Corsa", "Thrust Mode" and "Automatic". The difference between the three is the speed where you change gears and the speed with which change occurs. The 'Thrust Mode' serves to bring out the maximum acceleration from standstill.

As in other Gallardo, traction is permanent four wheels through a viscous element (with a 30:70 distribution, front / rear). Between the rear wheels is a rear mechanical limited slip (calibrated to 45%). Takes an open front differential: what slows the wheel skating (when it occurs) is an integrated electronic stability control.

The suspension remains by parallelogram (double triangle aluminum) on all wheels, but now has a new kinematics, in addition, the back is an additional arm. The springs and dampers have a different setting.

There are two different braking equipment. The serial has some front discs (Brembo) of 365 mm and the rear are 356 mm in diameter. Optionally, discs can be ceramic with carbon fiber reinforcements ( "CCB"), being the front 380 mm (the rear not increase in size). In any case, the clamps are eight-piston front and four behind.

Pirelli tires manufactured, P-Zero, of least resistance, are of varying degrees in each axis: 235/35ZR19 front and 295/30ZR19 rear.

There are some changes that affect the aerodynamics: front air intakes are larger (there go the water radiators, which are part of a circuit with 20 liters of coolant), the front spoiler improves aerodynamic equilibrium at high speeds, the rear diffuser has a new design. As in all the Gallardo, the rear spoiler rises to exceed 120 km / h.

Measuring 4.34 m long, 1.90 m wide and 1.16 high (very little). It weighs 1,485 kg, with a cast 43:57 front and rear, respectively. The frame is made of aluminum. It has a structure of extruded parts, joined by other castings. On this structure is stamped parts, welded together by screws or rivets. The fenders are thermoplastic and are attached to the chassis with screws.

The boot is placed in front and has 110 liters capacity, although a small space behind the seats where they leave some things.

The equipment includes stability control, front and side airbags (head and thorax), dual-zone climate control and electrically folding mirrors. It also has double xenon headlights and daytime running lights through 15 diodes (LEDs) arranged in 'Y'.

The seats are electrically adjustable and can be covered with leather or Alcantara. It can also be details of carbon fiber under the control of air conditioning and the gearshift in the dashboard and the brake lever (not electric). In addition, there are several possibilities for customization of the interior.

For the body there are new colors: white, black and brown, all in matte finish.

In the list of options appear items such as TV, Bluetooth phone connection, a rear camera, a system that allows the body to raise (for example) provide access to a garage, a glass top to cover the engine compartment or several tires (models 'Cordelia' and 'Callisto', the series are "Apollo".

KTM X-Bow

KTM X-Bow. Modelo 2009The KTM X-Bow is a two-seater car without a roof or doors wearing a supercharged 2.0-liter 241 hp. Since it has no windscreen, and that instead there is a baffle, KTM recommends wearing a helmet, but not required.

It's a vehicle you enjoy driving at a rapid pace, especially in a circuit, although the limit is demanding on the driver because he does not have any help (or antilock brakes or traction control or stability). However, there is a car difficult to drive slowly.

It is not comfortable or practical as everyday car, although it is possible be registered and used the street. (In addition to the impressions of the interior and driving that can be read in these pages, more comments on this test in the Blog Teleport)

KTM X-Bow. Model 2009Desde end of November 2008 and may be registered in Spain according to European standards of small series. The first five units were enrolled between December 2008 and January 2009.

The X-Bow is on sale from € 64,485 (all prices) in orange, white or black lacquered. Once manufactured the unit purchased, the buyer can pick it up at the factory in Austria, in an authorized national distributor, or even to your home address. KTM also markets a non-enrolling (X-Bow GT4 Racing), for example for use in circuit, which is priced at € 97,672.

The first hundred units of the X-Bow KTM produced by part of an edition called "Dallas". It is different because you have certain details of the carbon bodywork, chassis, race-specific suspension, limited slip differential, tires with a single anchor point and a removable steering wheel.

All these elements are also available optionally independently. The cost of locking is of 3,144 €. The removable drive, like tires with a single anchor point, has a premium of 1.245 €.

The X-Bow can be purchased with the body panels with carbon fiber, with a kit that improves aerodynamics and another that improves engine cooling.

The engine is a variant of that of the SEAT Leon Cupra and is centrally placed rear. It is a 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder direct injection (which runs between 30 and 110 bars), turbocharger and intercooler. It has a maximum power of 241 hp at 6,000 rpm, 21 bhp more than the prototype from which the X-Bow (gallery of images of the prototype). The manual gearbox is six relations, as the original Volkswagen engine.

The KTM X-Bow takes 3.9 s to reach 100 km / h from standstill and leaving 3 s to move from 80 to 120 km / h (the weight of the entire vehicle is 892 kg). It is therefore a very fast car. Need the same time to accelerate to 100 km / h than a Lotus 2-Eleven, although this is a relationship between weight and better power (256 hp and 670 kg). The X-Bow is only 0.5 s slower than a Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640 (641 hp and 1805 kg). The average consumption approved the KTM is 7.9 l/100 km, slightly less than the Leon Cupra, which weighs almost double (1,450 kg).

KTM X-Bow. 2009El Model X-Bow has a top speed of 220 km / h. The underbody is a rear diffuser which exerts a vertical force of 193 kg at a speed 200 km / h. According to the manufacturer, the maximum lateral acceleration is 1.23 g, a very high value. The fuel tank has a capacity of 40 l.

Regarding the prototype, and except the engine, the production model has small changes: taking the engine cooling is larger and the exhaust is twofold. The leaflet has reduced the number of buttons and has placed a screen with driver information in a location closer to the view (image). The seating material has also been changed.

The X-Bow has no doors or roof. Nor has windshield, only a small transparent deflector (image) to the air, as KTM, frees up heating (although there is one) or wipers. Recaro seats are fixed, have no such regulations, but you can choose from three different sizes to best suit the size of the driver. The pedals and adjustable steering wheel itself (the latter both in height and depth). Safety belts are four points, optionally may be six anchor points.

He wears a pair of roll-bar to protect occupants in a rollover. In the front area is a deformable structure to absorb energy upon impact, rear silencer box is responsible for developing this feature.

The X-Bow has no trunk. To save the documents is a transportable box. The elements that is compulsory in the car, such as triangles or replacement lamps, are stored in a compartment beneath the passenger's feet. In this area you can also save a sheath to cover the passenger compartment when the car is not used and may hold a couple of helmets.

The KTM X-Bow measures 3,73 m long, 1.90 m wide and 1.20 m high. The battle is 2.43 m. The chassis is a carbon fiber monocoque, developed in collaboration with the Italian specialist Dallara, which weighs 75 kg. It has a flat bottom built in three-piece aluminum alloy. Optionally can be carbon and kevlar.

KTM X-Bow. 2009La model is double wishbone suspension on all wheels, with the spring and shock absorber (from "WP Suspension") placed nearly horizontally and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the car. The address is zippered and has no assistance.

The Brembo brakes are 305 mm diameter front and 262 mm rear. In each rear wheel there are two brake calipers, one for the parking brake. The tires are of varying degrees in each axis (205/40 R17 front and 235/40 R18 the hind).

Koenigsegg CCXR Flower Power

The Koenigsegg CCXR Flower Power has the peculiarity that can run on E85 fuel (85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline). It is also the most powerful production car there (at the time of its release) has a 4.7 l V8 engine made of aluminum with two volumetric compressor (Rotrex) and maximum power of 1,018 hp 7,200 rpm

The CCXR reaches over 400 km / h (according to official data) and can accelerate to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds. The Bugatti EB 16.4 Veyron has 1001 hp, reaches 407 km / h and accelerates to 100 km / h in 2.5 seconds.

There is a big difference in acceleration between the data and Koenisegg Bugatti. It may be that this difference is due to the superior traction of the Bugatti because it has four-wheel-drive (the rear-wheel drive is Koenisegg), offsetting a heavier weight.

The engine is based on the CCXR that has the CCX, which operates exclusively with gasoline. This engine gives 806 hp at 6900 rpm.

The power gain is because CCXR, as ethanol has a resistance to detonation much higher than gasoline for the same compression ratio (8.2 to 1) ignition advance and boost pressure are higher (2.5 bar CCXR instead of 2.2 bar absolute maximum pressure CCX).

One consequence of using this fuel and the power is higher, consumption is also greater: the CCXR has a combined consumption of 22 l/100 km, while the CCX spent $ 17 l/100km. Koenisegg gives customers the ability to adapt to the CCX engine to run on ethanol.

The differences in power and fuel type is about the only thing that distinguishes the CCX CCXR, the construction of its bodywork, suspension, brakes, steering, wheels and transmission and development is the same in both models.

Are ceramic brakes (front discs 380 mm in diameter and eight-piston calipers and 362 mm rear discs with six-piston calipers). The front wheels are 255/35 R19 and rear 335/30 R20. The suspension is electronically feature lets you adjust the ride height.

Currently in production are the Koenigsegg CCR (since 2004), CCX (since 2006) and the CCXR (since 2007). There is a variant intended for the competition, the CCGT (based on CCX).

All Koenigsegg CC derive directly and not many variations of the model series began production in 2000 (named CC 8S, 655 hp). The Koenigsegg CC is a mid-engine two-seater, rear wheel drive. The roof is removable and thus moves from the sporty coupe to targa: the hood is kept in the front of the car under the hood. The chassis and body are made of carbon fiber and kevlar.

The original idea of this car is of Christian von Koenigsegg, the designer is David Craaford.

Koenigsegg CC

The Koenigsegg CC is a mid-engine two-seater, RWD, 655 hp and developed with racing technology. It's idea of Christian von Koenigsegg, which launched in 1994 with the purpose of manufacturing based on a two-seater F1 cars.

In 1995 he built the first prototype was presented in 2000 at the Salon de Paris, the most definitive aspect of the car. The first unit was delivered during the Geneva Auto Show 2002

It measures 1.070 m high, 4.190 m long and 1.990 wide. With respect to the prototype 2000, it has the tail and headlamps different in order to improve aerodynamics as well now you can get xenon headlights. The bonnet now has no rear spoiler although this has not worsened the lift coefficient and has a larger air vent for the engine.

This brand offers the possibility to test the car before buying your potential customers, plus once acquired, it offers a course "free" driving for them, they lack to do.

Kia Sorento

It is a suitable terrain for anyone thought to give a relatively intense use in the field and do not want to give up some comfort and safety for road travel. Is only available with a diesel engine of 170 hp.

Of SUVs currently on sale and more or less average fulfills the above assumptions, there is none cheaper.

If we search the database km77.com SUVs between 4.5 and 4.8 m in length with diesel engine over 160 hp and permanent four wheel drive, you can see that the Sorento is by far the least expensive (list sorted by price). It is on sale from 27,613 € (all prices on the KIA Sorento).

However, the KIA Sorento most interesting is one that can have stability control (for the security it provides). This version is available from € 30,863 (ie, almost the same as a SsangYong Kyron 165 bhp with a similar equipment).

If you are going to use almost entirely by road or roads that are not complicated, there are cars Sorento prices that are preferable, as a Nissan X-Trail or Mitsubishi Outlander (spend less, are more agile and have higher acceleration capability with less power).

The major limitation of the Sorento for road use is that sometimes, the suspension is hard and dry. It is a nimble car. Stands out for her poise on the motorway than the ability to change trajectory in areas of curves.

Another drawback of the Sorento is that the automatic gearbox (optional) just gives retention: it tends to make very long marches when lifted off the throttle. However, it is the best option if you are driving on the field, especially in areas slow and complicated. With the manual gearbox, the Sorento uses less fuel than the automatic (comparative tab).

All versions can be either standard or optional, browser and connection 'Bluetooth' for the phone.

It may have some items of equipment which are available in models such as in-depth adjustable steering wheel, automatic wipers or charger discs, among others. Nor can lead Xenon headlights, but in this case is not a drawback because it gives with the lighting halogen bulb headlights is good.

It is an SUV of 4.59 m long, 1.86 m wide and 1.73 m high. You bodywork of five doors and five seats. Its chassis is a classic terrain of stiles and rails. The trunk has a capacity of 486 liters, but can be extended (by folding the rear seats) to 1,849 liters.

The Sorento is currently being sold a pattern that began selling in 2003. KIA updated it in 2006, with changes in equipment, appearance (more information) and a 170 hp engine (instead of one 150 hp: increased power is due to the new turbocharger has a variable instead of fixed and some changes to the engine management)

You can not have the petrol engine displacement of 2.4 liters and 139 hp, which was far cheaper alternative to full range).

KIA Sportage

KIA Sportage. Modelo 2009The 2009 range of KIA Sportage changes appearance over that of 2008 and introduces a brand new 150 hp diesel engine. Gasoline engines (141 and 175 hp) are the same that I had previously.

Prices start at 20.300 €, which is the price of gasoline version 2.0 (141 hp) with front-wheel drive. The other versions that are initially on sale are a 150 hp diesel, also with front-wheel drive and one with a 2.7 V6 petrol engine and four-wheel traction. Later they will be other combinations.

The price is much higher than the versions of the 2008 range (which will continue selling while remaining in stock) because they are not discounting that there are for the previous model.

KIA Sportage. Model 2009En abroad change the headlights and the drivers, grille, bumpers and wheel arches. The less powerful petrol version has two exhaust outlets, as had the other versions. The 16-inch wheels have a new design.

There are also changes inside the cabin. Thus, the dashboard and instrument panel are different, new coating materials for seats and steering wheel and the front passenger airbag can be disconnected in order to install an infant seat. According to KIA, the antitheft system has been improved.

The Sportage is an SUV in size to Toyota RAV4. In the test we did of the diesel version (140 hp), 2007, we found the Sportage had a good relationship between price and product. It excels at nothing but neither has significant gaps in any way. On the road, the suspension premium comfort on other features (driving impressions).

The KIA model was launched in Europe in 2004 and currently manufactured in Slovakia

KIA Opirus

After the summer, will be on sale a KIA Opirus renewed with some changes to the exterior design of the bodywork, interior, equipment, suspension and engine, which is now more powerful.

According to Kia, the new Opirus is a few inches long (the previous measures 4,98 m) and width of roads has increased 1.5 cm and 2 cm behind the front. It is lighter (122 kg less) and your engine consumes less (so that their autonomy is greater).

External developments are mainly in the posterior: the trunk lid and drivers are completely different (pictures of the previous and new). The front bumper and chrome grille has been slightly redesigned. The front intermittent light-emitting diodes remain (LED) and are placed in the lower bumper (pictured).

The alloy wheels are now 17 inches and have a new design, the tires are 235/55 R17 measure. There are five exterior colors for the body that were previously unavailable.

Inside there are changes. According to KIA, the console has been completely redesigned. In addition, there are more colors to choose from for the leather upholstery. The increase in length has been an increase of 10 l in volume of the trunk.

Among the items of equipment are airbags (now larger), stability control, leather upholstery, heated front seats with heating and ventilation, driver seat power lumbar adjustment, adjustable pedals and a trip computer enhanced.

The new Opirus remains a front-wheel drive and has a gasoline engine much more powerful. It is a V6 with 3.8-liter engine capacity, reaching a maximum power of 266 hp at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 350 Nm at 4,500 rpm. It is made of aluminum and weighs less than the previous Opirus, which was made of iron. This engine is matched to a five-speed automatic gearbox.

The Opirus 3.8 V6 has a top speed of 230 km / h (10 km / h more), accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.5 seconds (1.7 s less) and has a combined cycle consumption of 10 , 9 liters per 100 km (0.5 l less).

The maximum speed is lower than with most models of this size and power, while consumption is high. The acceleration is normal (comparative table of performance and fuel consumption).

The front suspension is basically the same as the previous Opirus (independent by parallelogram), but with some modifications. Change the lower triangle, the position of the rack and wheel alignment. The back itself is different: one side has separate springs and dampers on the other, the upper joining element is different for stealing less space to boot. Furthermore, the suspension is 34 kg lighter. Learn about types of independent suspension.

Present the new KIA Opirus the Paris Motor Show in September.
