Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4

The Gallardo LP560-4 is on sale from € 190,895. It has a 560 hp engine, 30 hp more than the Gallardo Superleggera. Besides the engine, Lamborghini has also made changes to the suspension, transmission, AWD system and aerodynamic.

The Gallardo LP560-4 with automatic (with manual worsen and consumption benefits) coming from a standing reaches 100 km / h in 3.7 s and achieves a maximum speed of 325 km / h. The average consumption is 13.7 l/100 km approved. A Porsche 911 GT2, which is slightly less powerful (530 hp) and weighs a little more, is just as fast and spend less. A Corvette Z06 (513 hp) runs a little less and spend more.

The LP560-4 has a new 5.2 l engine positioned longitudinally in rear center position. It is a ten-cylinder "V" direct injection gives the maximum power at 8,000 rpm (more info on the engine). The fuel tank holds 90 liters of capacity.

It is available with six-speed manual gearbox or a robot: it has no clutch pedal and the inner box is like a manual, with pairs of gears, but with an automatic mechanism for selecting gears. This automatic change is called e-gear "and has cam behind the wheel to shift gears. With respect to that of other Lamborghini, has been revised to make it faster (up to 40%) and weighs less.

The automated gearbox has five operational programs: "Normal", "Sport", "Corsa", "Thrust Mode" and "Automatic". The difference between the three is the speed where you change gears and the speed with which change occurs. The 'Thrust Mode' serves to bring out the maximum acceleration from standstill.

As in other Gallardo, traction is permanent four wheels through a viscous element (with a 30:70 distribution, front / rear). Between the rear wheels is a rear mechanical limited slip (calibrated to 45%). Takes an open front differential: what slows the wheel skating (when it occurs) is an integrated electronic stability control.

The suspension remains by parallelogram (double triangle aluminum) on all wheels, but now has a new kinematics, in addition, the back is an additional arm. The springs and dampers have a different setting.

There are two different braking equipment. The serial has some front discs (Brembo) of 365 mm and the rear are 356 mm in diameter. Optionally, discs can be ceramic with carbon fiber reinforcements ( "CCB"), being the front 380 mm (the rear not increase in size). In any case, the clamps are eight-piston front and four behind.

Pirelli tires manufactured, P-Zero, of least resistance, are of varying degrees in each axis: 235/35ZR19 front and 295/30ZR19 rear.

There are some changes that affect the aerodynamics: front air intakes are larger (there go the water radiators, which are part of a circuit with 20 liters of coolant), the front spoiler improves aerodynamic equilibrium at high speeds, the rear diffuser has a new design. As in all the Gallardo, the rear spoiler rises to exceed 120 km / h.

Measuring 4.34 m long, 1.90 m wide and 1.16 high (very little). It weighs 1,485 kg, with a cast 43:57 front and rear, respectively. The frame is made of aluminum. It has a structure of extruded parts, joined by other castings. On this structure is stamped parts, welded together by screws or rivets. The fenders are thermoplastic and are attached to the chassis with screws.

The boot is placed in front and has 110 liters capacity, although a small space behind the seats where they leave some things.

The equipment includes stability control, front and side airbags (head and thorax), dual-zone climate control and electrically folding mirrors. It also has double xenon headlights and daytime running lights through 15 diodes (LEDs) arranged in 'Y'.

The seats are electrically adjustable and can be covered with leather or Alcantara. It can also be details of carbon fiber under the control of air conditioning and the gearshift in the dashboard and the brake lever (not electric). In addition, there are several possibilities for customization of the interior.

For the body there are new colors: white, black and brown, all in matte finish.

In the list of options appear items such as TV, Bluetooth phone connection, a rear camera, a system that allows the body to raise (for example) provide access to a garage, a glass top to cover the engine compartment or several tires (models 'Cordelia' and 'Callisto', the series are "Apollo".
