KIA Magentis

KIA Magentis shows the update, which is a four-door sedan. Not confirmed the date of marketing in Spain. Until then, KIA Magentis will continue to sell today.

You have changes in appearance, equipment and engines.

It measures 4.80 m in length (about 6.5 cm more than the current model). It is shorter than a Ford Mondeo and bigger than a Renault Laguna. The changes in length of the body do not affect the wheelbase, which remains 2,72 m. The width and height of the body are also unchanged (1.81 m and 1.48 m, respectively). It is available with two petrol engines and one diesel. The gasoline is a 2.0 liter 165 hp (20 hp more than the current model) and a 2.7 liter 193 hp (now gives 188 hp). The Diesel (CRDi 2.0) now gives 150 hp (instead of 140 hp). In some markets, develop CRDi 136 hp, to comply with local tax regulations.

With the 2.0 liter engine and 164 hp gasoline consumes 7.5 l/100 km in the approved course, a relatively low figure compared to other cars of similar power (comparative tab). As standard, gasoline engines have a five-speed manual and six for the Diesel.

In addition, all versions will have an automatic gearshift. Four gears for the 2.0 liter engine and five for the 2.7. Automatic transmissions have a function ( "Sport Mode) to select the gears manually via the lever between the seats. For now, Kia has not said whether in Spain all versions of the new Magentis will be able to automatic (in the model is still selling well).

The boot capacity is 500 liters (VDA under the rules), 5 l more than the previous model.

They are new dashboard, center console, instrumentation, automatic transmission selector plate and tapestries. An interesting development is that it will take connections ( "AUX" and "USB") for external players (image).
